BOTOX® results last about four to six months before muscles start contracting again and the wrinkle returns. Dysport® results last about five months. You’ll want to return for another injection at this time to maintain results.
Juvederm® And Restylane®
Juvederm® and Restylane® are FDA-approved dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance that binds with water molecules under the skin. Injected under a wrinkle, crease or in an area where there’s volume loss, these fillers will restore volume to the skin, lifting and smoothing out wrinkles and other fine lines. These fillers treat static wrinkles, which are continually visible wrinkles. These include frown lines, marionette lines and lip lines. The results are immediate and last up to a year. Restylane® is also used for lip enhancement to make lips look fuller.
Radiesse®
Made of microspheres composed of calcium hydroxylapatite within water-based gel, Radiesse®
is an FDA-approved filler that fills the wrinkle and stimulates the body to produce new collagen. It’s most effective in reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth such as smile lines, nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Results can last up to a year or longer.
